Embattled Judicial Nominee Estrada Withdraws (washingtonpost.com): "Miguel A. Estrada, whose nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington has been blocked for months by Senate Democrats, has withdrawn from consideration for the post.



'I believe that the time has come to return my full attention to the practice of law, and to regain the ability to make long-term plans for my family,' Estrada said in a letter to Bush, the Reuters news service reported."
